1st week 09/08/14 - 09/12/14

We arrived in San José and made our first contact with our project adviser from Dacuda. Prior to this, we received a project proposal that included the following goals of the market research for mobile food photography:

  1. Analyze the currently available food photography apps and market opportunity.

  2. Evaluate how we should position our technology best toward food app providers and consumers based on user and potential customer feedback.

  3. Define a go-to-market strategy to reach several million food app users through partnerships with existing food apps.

At the beginning all of us had one question in our head. What is a Foodie and what makes a person become a Foodie? If you are also interested in Foodies you can visit Wikipedia to learn more about that uprising culture of food photography.

After answering this question, we started to plan the project by implementing a Gantt-Chart. We then continued with the step one of the project. This first step includes the research of what already exists in food photography apps and how they are used. The research was predefined to the two most used app stores: Apple's AppStore and Google's PlayStore.
