On days designated for free dress the following rules apply: NO above the knee shorts, ripped jeans, mini-skirts, midriff, spaghetti strap, halter, or tube tops, low cut dresses or blouses cannot be worn. NO leggings, tights, form-fitting clothes or pajamas (except on designated pajama days). Students are allowed to wear: clean jeans in good condition, dress slacks and shirts, dresses, skirts and blouses. Skirts or dresses must be modest and appropriate for school. Appropriate shoes must be worn; no open-toed, sandals, heels, or slippers may be worn. Baseball-style hats, caps or hoods may not be worn in the classroom. No permanent, henna, or temporary tattoos are allowed. Make-up, colored lip gloss and colored nail polish/acrylic nails are not permitted. Parents will be notified of any changes to this free dress code prior to the event.
Consequences for not adhering to the Free Dress guidelines include, but are not limited to, the following: a phone call to parents to bring appropriate attire, or the student may be asked to change into an available PE uniform. The student will remain in the office until they can change into proper attire.
When a student misses a scheduled Free Dress Day, he/she can not make up on a different day.
