Counseling

Upon recommendation of the parent, teacher or principal, counseling services for assistance, guidance and support around personal-social concerns may be required. These services are offered to all students. If your child is in need of these services, a signed Consent Form is required (unless directed by school principal). You will be contacted for an initial meeting to discuss additional outside services or evaluation procedures if necessary. The school counselor is available for parent conferences upon your request.

Counseling services offered through the school, if any, are primarily short-term, temporary services aimed at the most effective education and socialization within the school community, and to provide means for teachers and School Administration to serve any student and the school community more effectively. These services are NOT intended as a substitute for emergency psychological intervention, nor do they take the place of permanent, long term or comprehensive counseling, therapy or medication, which are not the responsibility of the school.
