F is for fruit

What are your favorite fruits? I like bananas and apples. Try to eat some fruit today! I like to put fruit in the blender to make a fruit smoothie! My favorite fruit smoothie is a combination of blueberries, banana, and mango. At the bottom of the page, there is a blender directed drawing. Add your favorite fruits to the drawing! Send me pictures if you want to! I can add them to our hallway.

Writing

        • Okay authors, we will be writing realistic fiction stories next week!
        • Yesterday, you started to think about your main character. I loved all of your ideas! Remember, your characters should be realistic. No super powers or talking animals!
        • Today, you are going to really DESCRIBE your character with a lot of detail. You will be putting the information about your character into a paragraph. When I read your paragraph, I should be able to picture your character in my head. I want to know all about what your character looks like on the outside AND what your character is like on the inside.
        • Please CLICK HERE for examples.
        • Look in your AR book. How did the author introduce the main character?
        • Also, think about your setting. Where do you want your REALISTIC FICTION story to take place? Submit your setting in the Google form below.
        • Before you start, watch these 2 videos about character and setting.
        • Please email me your paragraphs when you are done. I can't wait to "meet" all of your characters!

Remember, your character has to be realistic.
