Weekend News!

  • Please write all about your weekend :) Read my weekend news below. Notice the words that I put in bold. I used a lot of sequence words! I also indented and started with "My weekend was..."
  • Keep your weekend news papers in a safe place. When you are older, you will want to read about what you did in quarantine in 2nd grade!! It's kind of like a time capsule!

Miss Scrofani's Weekend News

My weekend was fun! After school on Friday, I did the Ice Bucket Toilet Paper Roll Challenge because Mrs. Weinstein nominated me!! It was really fun and refreshing since it was so hot out. Then I went bike riding with my fiancé. We rode to get ice cream and we saw Mrs. Tufano getting ice cream!! I was so happy to see her in person. It started to rain when we were riding back, but that was okay because I was already wet from the Ice Bucket Challenge.

On Saturday, I visited with my mom and sister. Then, I baked delicious brownies. Finally, I saw some of my friends outside. It was great to see everyone. I can't wait until we don't have to socially distance anymore! On Sunday, I went to a farmer's market in New York. It was a little weird because they had a hand washing station at the entrance! I bought cheese, pickles, and pineapple salsa. I had a really great weekend. I can't wait for next weekend!
