- This week, we will not do our regular weekly activities on Pearson Realize. We will be reading a chapter book together! It is called Donavan's Word Jar. It is written by Monalisa DeGross. It is about a boy who collects WORDS, just like we do when we do Word of the Day!
- Usually you would all have your own copy of the book, but now I will be posting videos of myself reading the story.
- You will listen to 2 chapters per day (2 videos) and answer the Google form questions that I post here. Enjoy!! You are going to LOVE this book!

word of the day!
Let's be like Donavan and "collect" a new word!
- Our word of the day is...assemble
- It is a verb, or action word
- It means...to put something together
- Don't forget to draw your picture and write your sentence in your vocabulary journals. Use a capital letters and punctuation!
DISCUSS!
- Have you ever assembled anything, or helped someone assemble it?
- What toys involve assembling pieces to create something bigger?
- When we have a gathering at school, why is it called an assembly?
When I was in elementary school, I helped my dad assemble my computer desk from Ikea.
