Writing

Do you remember what you wrote yesterday? Go get it, please! Here was my example from yesterday:

Miss Scrofani's Example from Thursday

Topic Sentence: When I hear the word hero, I immediately think of brave, hard-working firefighters.

Detail #1: Firefighters are brave because they run into burning buildings to save lives. They even save pets!

Detail #2: Firefighters put fires out and save buildings and land from burning. I am thankful for this, because it would be hard to rebuild a house or store.

Detail #3: Firefighters also teach us how to stay safe around fire. They visit schools and teach kids what to do in case of a fire. At my school, they put on their full uniforms so kids know not to be scared of them.

Concluding Sentence: As you can see, firefighters are very courageous and heroic.

Today, you will be putting your sentences into paragraph form! Don't forget to...

      • Give your writing a title!
      • Indent at the beginning of your paragraph
      • Write neatly
      • Use capitals
      • Use punctuation
      • See if there are any describing words you want to add in. I added "courageous" to my concluding sentence!
