Word clouds are very visual ways to conceptualize key words. WordArt.com is a very easy to use, free website that will allow students to enter the words they wish to appear (like a vocabulary list or brainstorming activity) pick their shape, and change some more advanced features, to create stunning visuals like these:

Creating it easy, by choosing your words, shape, font, layout, colors and animation, and how to download and share it. Students will start by clicking "Sign up" in the upper right, and then choose to "Sign up using Google." Once students have signed up, they can click "Create" and follow the steps below. Click "Visualize" often to see your changes.
Step 1: Add you words.
Step 2: Pick your shape, or even add your own image.
Step 3 (optional): Pick your font.
Step 4 (optional): Choose your layout.
Step 5 (optional): Change colors and animations.
Step 6: Download and share. The best way to download is to choose "Download PNG image" and "SQ" (standard quality). Then, students can upload their image to their drive to share.
