Google Timer

One simple teaching strategy that is offered at a lot of teaching workshops is setting a time limit for certain tasks. It keeps the students focused for short amounts of time. Believe it or not, google has a built-in timer. Search google for "timer 30 seconds" (or whatever time you want) for a free, easy to use timer. If you use the Google Chrome browser, you can just type, “timer 30 seconds” into the location bar at the top of any page! Then press the “Enter” key to activate the timer.
