Google Drive~ Automatically Convert Uploads

Each time you upload a Microsoft item (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), you need to convert it to a Google item in order to use it within Google Drive and Classroom. These TWO steps will have Google do it for you from now on. Courtesy of Mrs. Wefing, 6th Grade Social Studies at Bolich Middle School.

1. Within Google Drive, click on the gear for Settings in the upper right hand corner.

1. Select “Convert uploaded files to Google Doc editor format,” which will convert ALL uploads to Google items and click Done!
