Dear members,

Thank you so much to those who attended our March CCC event yesterday. It was extremely gratifying to see our children perform so well and those who heard the children will definitely attest to that. We introduced Kaashyap and Yazhini on the vocals, Prahlad on the violin and Rajeev on the Mrudangam and it was obvious that youngsters of today are so talented. Rest of the repeat performers showcased such an improved rendering making obvious their progress in music over the year, may it be vocals or string or mrudangam. It is incredible how the children are juggling so many activities these days, excelling in all. Congratulations to each of them!

Vid. Vivek Sundararaman’s presentation as part of Feature a Guru segment kept the audience engaged and got them thinking too! In his own charming and humorous way, Vivek explained with examples how to listen effectively to concerts and how one can become a better musician and a rasika from 'kelvi gnanam'. The topic was so relevant to every single person in the audience, and we immensely thank Vivek for choosing this topic to share!

Huge thanks to Barath for covering the event and sending the pictures immediately post event. We commend and thank Anand Gurumurthy for being extremely thoughtful of as aspects while creating the video excerpts clip in a timely manner, for (y)our enjoyment. Our sincere thanks to our core team and the event day volunteers for their help in ensuring a smooth event.

Best wishes to all the CCC students who will be participating in the Cleveland festival/competitions. Hope you all have a fruitful experience. We will be skipping April so please save Sunday May 14th (Mothers’ Day) from 2pm to 5pm for our next event!

Regards,

Padma Mohan
