Dear members,

Happy Valentines day to all of you and hope the love for music will keep us united for a long time to come :-)

This is the first email going out to our new Google Group and both email ids you registered with us should receive this bulletin! Please let me know otherwise.

Our sincere thanks to every single family who made it to our February CCC event yesterday. We had such a variety program with 5 vocal solos, 2 violin solos and a veena solo, each one presenting a unique raga/composition for our encouraging audience. We introduced Manasa on the vocals and Aishwarya on the violin and the rest of the performers staged a very mature performance since their presentation last year. Each was unique in its own way and I can’t be prouder of the performers and accompanists we staged this month! Our students (and their teachers) always strive hard to make us all very proud and the efforts so worth it.

Dr Saravanapriyan Sriram’s presentation as part of Feature a Guru segment was simply amazing! He very effectively managed to illustrate a very interesting and very useful topic ‘How to approach a Raga?’ Our sincere thanks to him for taking the time to prepare and present this key topic to our members and with his permission I’ll share the slides he presented as well, shortly.

Thanks to Srivatsan for covering the event and sending the pictures immediately post event. I had requested him to cover the event until Prasanna arrived but he ended up covering the entire event, giving Prasanna a break (especially with Vivrd in the February line-up). We are grateful to Anand for being extremely diligent in preparing the video excerpts that captures the essence of our event, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this video clip.

Our volunteers prove that CCC is one big family and help out like it is their own family event so on behalf of all the children who perform in CCC, I’d like to send a heartfelt thanks to all our core volunteers and the parents who help out. We’ll definitely treat you all with a good chai next month :-)

A big shout out THANK YOU to the following students and their families:
