04. Lyceum Hall
Now it’s time to take a breath from climbing those steps and have a look at the Lyceum Hall (Catholic Hall). The Foundation stone for this building was laid on the 10th of September 1922 and this building uses the largest piece of timber ever brought into Cessnock. The purchase of this land in 1921 by the Catholic Church was the first step in the long road to building the next buildings you will see, the presbytery and the church itself.
