19. War Memorial
Moving past the Coal Memorial and crossing another roundabout you will come to the War memorial. This was originally inside the Memorial Hall until it was sold in late 50s. It then moved to Rotary Park which was behind the Town Hall (where Coles/Target now stands). When the Town Hall was demolished in 1999, the memorial was moved to its present location.
The cannon from the HMAS Cessnock also now stands in this park since its decommissioning in May 2005.
