11. Memorial Hall

Next along Vincent St is the Memorial Hall. This building was funded by the subscription (donations) and fundraising activities of the mothers and wives of returned WWI soldiers. Men of the area were much in demand during this war, as their experience in coal mining gave them valuable wartime skills as Tunnellers in France.
