22. Gun-Barrel Housing
After a short walk along Wollombi Rd, you will come to numbers 156 to 162. These are a classic example of 1920s colonial architecture. This type of housing, called “gun-barrel” housing, was built in all coal mining towns and is also seen commonly in the earlier developments of Sydney.
