227 - home again

May 18, 1990: Angela Channing (and her irreplaceable performer Jane Wyman, who had been missing for a few months after a serious health crisis) returned to her home at Tuscany Valley on "Falcon Crest". The show had lost uncountable viewers during her absence and was even interrupted and re-tooled, and reprised with the episode shown the previous week. Wyman was angry at the new producing-writing team, who had basically turned the series into "The Gregory Harrison Show", after the death of Maggie, the departures of Frank and Emma and the cancellation of the classic Californian on-location filming due to budget constraints. Now the plot was beginning to change, in order to give the show a proper end, which had already been guaranteed. Therefore, Angela came back and started her usual scheming, now against the outsider Michael Sharpe (played by Harrison), his son Danny (who turned to be actually Richard´s) and, of course, and only partly, against her own son and thorn on her side Richard.

Julio de 1991: Angela Channing (y su insustituible intérprete Jane Wyman, ausente durante unos meses debido a serios problemas de salud) regresaba a su hogar en el Valle deTuscany en "Falcon Crest". La serie había perdido incontables espectadores durante su ausencia e incluso, habían interrumpido su emisión y la habían "reformado", para continuar su emisión con el episodio emitido la semana anterior. Wyman estaba furiosa con el nuevo equipo de productores y guionistas, que básicamente habían convertido la serie en "El Show de Gregory Harrison", tras la muerte de Maggie, la partida de Frank y Emma y la cancelación del rodaje en escenarios naturales californianos, a causa de un ajuste del presupuesto. Ahora la trama empezaba a cambiar para poder dar a la serie un final adecuado, ya que la cancelación había sido confirmada. Por tanto, Angela volvió a casa y empezó con sus intrigas de siempre, ahora contra el forastero Michael Sharpe (interpretado por Harrison), su hijo Danny (que resultó ser en realidad de Richard) y, por supuesto, aunque sólo en parte, contra su propio hijo y "espina clavada" Richard.
