This last season´s opening features initially the 8 actors who play Angela (though seen in 6 episodes due to Wyman´s health condition), Lance, Richard, Pilar, Frank (seen in 12), Emma (seen on 10 eps.), Chao-Li, and newcomer Gregory Harrison as Michael Sharpe. ANGELA prepara su viaje a GRECIA y deja a su nieto a cargo, aunque bajo la estricta supervisión de su capataz FRANK. Cuando DANIEL reacciona a su fracaso literario dándose al juego, a la bebida, y a los maltratos, EMMA se convierte en una esposa infeliz. As Angela prepares to travel to Greece, she leaves her grandson Lance in charge, though under the strict supervision of her reliable foreman, Frank Agretti. Since Daniel, an unsuccessful author, has turned to gambling, drinking and brutality, Emma has become a battered wife. To escape her troubles, Ema turns to another man, Charley, for much-needed affection. In an effort to get out of prison, Richard decides to testify against his co-conspirator, Michael Sharpe. Richard evades an attempt on his life meant to stop his testimony. Accidentally getting her finger stuck in a pool drain, Maggie drowns. Angela hires a private investigator to tail Pilar.

El amigo de EMMA, CHARLEY, llega a tiempo del funeral de MAGGIE. "¿Qué voy a hacer?" - pregunta RICHARD a su madre. "Vas a sobrevivir" - es su respuesta directa. Aunque ANGELA desaprueba a CHARLEY y cambia sus planes de vacaciones, EMMA apoya a su amigo a pesar de la interferencia de ANGELA:

"Me habéis ofendido todos. Es despreciable cómo habéis tratado a CHARLEY. Si queréis que nos marchemos para que os podáis ir de viaje, sólo tenéis que decirlo, delante de todos. Vamos, decidlo: "Quiero que os marchéis". Si él se va, yo también." "EMMA, nunca te echaría de tu propia casa" - le dice ANGELA. "Entonces, nos quedamos, y más vale que aprendáis a aceptar a CHARLEY. Porque se quedará aquí mientras yo me quede." MICHAEL se venga de RICHARD moviendo los hilos para que este pierda la custodia de sus hijos. Al saber que ANGELA intenta romper su relación con EMMA, CHARLEY la ahoga usando una almohada.

Emma's old friend Charley arrives just in time for Maggie's funeral. "What am I going to do?" - Richard asks her mother. "You're going to survive" - is her blunt answer. Although Angela disapproves of Charley and changes her vacation plans, Emma stands by Charley despite Angela's interference:

"I resent all of you. I think it's despicable the way you've been treating Charley. Now, if you want us to leave so that you can go on your trip, just say so. Say it right here, in front of everyone. Go on, say it: I want YOU to leave! If he goes, I go!" "Emma, I would never throw you out of your own home" - Angela tells her. "Then we stay, and everybody better learn to accept Charley! Cause he's here, as long as I am." Michael Sharpe takes his revenge on Richard for his testimony against him by having Richard's children removed from his custody. Aware that Angela is trying to break up his relationship with Emma, Charley places a pillow over Angela's face and suffocates her.

3/208. Flesh & Blood (Carne y sangre)

Tras ser encontrada inconsciente, ANGELA es trasladada al hospital, donde entra en coma: "Su corazón está bien, no ha sufrido un ataque. Por alguna razón, ha habido una falta de oxígeno en su cerebro. Mi opinión es que fue una embolia, un coágulo sanguíneo. La hemos conectado a un sistema de apoyo vital que iremos vigilando con atención."

LANCE lo pasa mal intentando dirigir FALCON CREST sin ANGELA, sobre todo cuando los socios insisten en negociar con ella, pero, afortunadamente, PILAR puede ayudar a LANCE a tratar con su distribuidor, NED VOGEL. RICHARD descubre que MICHAEL fue decisivo en la pérdida de custodia de los niños de RICHARD. Un fallo eléctrico en el hospital obliga a la familia a considerar que se desconecte el aparato de ANGELA.

After being found unconscious, Angela is rushed to the hospital, where she slips into a coma: "Her heart's fine, she's not suffered a stroke. For some reason, there has been a lack of oxygen to the brain. My feeling now that it was an embolism, blood clot. We have her hooked up to a life support system that we'll be watching her very carefully."

Lance has a difficult time managing Falcon Crest without Angela, particularly when business associates insist on negotiating with Angela, but fortunately, Pilar is able to help Lance deal with their distributor, Ned Vogel. Richard discovers that Michael was instrumental in Richard's loss of custody over his children. A power outage at the hospital forces the family to consider pulling the plug on Angela's life support.

Con su continua influencia sobre EMMA, CHARLEY tiene preocupada a la familia. Cuando el banco exige la devolución de su préstamo, RICHARD salva a FALCON CREST de MICHAEL. Animada por su cuñada, GENELE ERICKSON, FRANK acude al banco con los poderes que ANGELA le había dado antes de su cancelado viaje a EUROPA, y controla todas las operaciones de FALCON CREST.

With his continued influence over Emma, Charley upsets the family. After the bank calls in its loan, Richard saves Falcon Crest from Michael Sharpe. Encouraged by his sister-in-law, Genele Erickson, Frank Agretti goes to the bank with the power of attorney which Angela had given him prior to her aborted trip to Europe and takes over operation of Falcon Crest.

Debido al testimonio de RICHARD, la Comisión de la Bolsa de Valores obliga a MICHAEL a pagar la multa más elevada de la historia. LAUREN y su marido se enfrentan a él a causa de sus intrigas y su custodia de los hijos de RICHARD. La obsesión de este con la traicionera GENELE va en aumento. CHARLEY se siente aliviado al saber que el marido de EMMA se ha suicidado, aparentemente, ya que su muerte elimina el último obstáculo de CHARLEY para casarse con ella. Cuando el juez concede el control de FALCON CREST a EMMA, ella se ve superada por la idea de dirigir el negocio. El nuevo marido de EMMA, CHARLEY, sí que tiene muchas ideas para el control de la propiedad.

Due to Richard's testimony, the S.E.C. slaps Michael Sharpe with the largest fine in history. Lauren and her husband confront Michael about his schemes and their custody of Richard's children. Frank's obsession with the treacherous Genele escalates. Charley is relieved to hear that Emma's husband has apparently committed suicide, since his death removes the last obstacle for Charley to marry Emma. When the court gives control of Falcon Crest to Emma, she is overwhelmed by the notion of running the business. Emma's new husband Charley, however, has many ideas about running Falcon Crest.

6/211. God of the Grape (El dios de la uva)

CHARLEY contrata a su hermano IAN y a su joven, casi adeolescente esposa SYDNEY, para que le ayuden a dirigir las bodegas. Esto provoca una pelea con LANCE, tras la cual despide a este. Después de rescatar a sus hijos, RICHARD descubre que a ellos les caía bien y los vuelve a dejar en sus manos, a pesar de que es la hermana de MICHAEL. Cuando PILAR y LANCE se enfrentan a EMMA respecto a CHARLEY, este celebra una fiesta bacanal que es arruinada por unos motoristas. VOGEL, que tiene pruebas de que PILAR ha segurado su contrato de distribución con favores sexuales, la chantajea. Mientras vela a ANGELA, EMMA cree oír a su madre en coma pidiéndole que se libre de CHARLEY, pero ella no está segura de haberla oído o si lo ha imaginado.

Charley hires his brother Ian and his young, child-like wife, Sidney, to help run the winery. Since the new arrivals put Charley at odds with Lance, the two fight. After Lance soundly beats Charley, Charley immediately fires him. After rescuing his sons, Richard learns that they liked Lauren and returns them to Lauren's care, despite the fact that she is Sharpe's sister. After Pilar and Lance confront Emma about Charley, he throws a bacchanal party, which is crashed by bikers. Ned Vogel, who has taped evidence of Pilar securing his distribution contract through sexual favors, blackmails her. At Angela's bedside, Emma thinks she hears her comatose mother command her to get rid of Charley, but Emma isn't sure whether or not she imagined it.

7/212. Doctor Dollars (El Doctor Dólares)

Cuando MICHAEL ordena el asesinato de RICHARD, el pistolero acaba matando a SAL, su amigo de la cárcel, que se había ofrecido a ayudarle a vengarse de MICHAEL. SYDNEY desafía a su marido y traba amistad con EMMA, pero IAN le da una paliza. Para librarse de LANCE, CHARLEY le muestra una cinta de vídeo con PILAR manteniendo relaciones con VOGEL. A pesar de la petición de ella, LANCE se marcha furioso, tal como había esperado CHARLEY.

As Michael Sharpe arranges for Richard to be killed, the contract eventually goes to Sal, Richard's acquaintance from prison. Instead of killing Richard, Sal offers to help him get back at Sharpe, but later pays with his life when Sharpe learns that Sal double-crossed him. After Sydney defies her husband and befriends Emma, Ian beats her. In order to get rid of Lance, Charley shows him a videotape of Pilar's liaison with Ned Vogel. Despite Pilar's pleas, Lance leaves enraged, just as Charley had hoped.

8/213. Luck Wave (Una racha de suerte)

MICHAEL convence a IAN y CHARLEY para que le vendan FALCON CREST, pero EMMA se echa atrás. Cuando revela que posee información sobre ellos que podría llevarlos a la cárcel, CHARLEY accede a matar a EMMA y falsificar su firma. Sin embargo, decide cambiar de planes cuando una inocente EMMA le comunica que está embarazada. LANCE se involucra en una partida mortal de ruleta rusa con escorpiones.

Michael Sharpe convinces Ian and Charley to sell Falcon Crest to him, but Emma backs out. When Sharpe informs Ian and Charley that he has information on them that could put them in jail, Charley agrees to kill Emma and forge her signature. Charley is stopped in his tracks, however, when an unsuspecting Emma informs him that she is pregnant. Lance becomes embroiled in a deadly game of Russian roulette involving scorpions.

CHARLEY sigue presionando a EMMA que venda a MICHAEL a pesar de que está embarazada. Cuando le dice a IAN que SYDNEY ha tenido una aventura con CHRIS AGRETTI en la bodega, los dos hermanos acuerdan matar a sus esposas por engañarlos. RICHARD hace saber a LAUREN que significa mucho para él. Al ver FRANK a SYDNEY e IAN peleándose, intenta ayudar, pero cuando IAN tiene las de ganar, ella salva a FRANK matando a IAN con un abrecartas. CHARLEY persigue a EMMA, pero esta le dispara en el pecho.

Charley keeps the pressure on Emma to sell to Sharpe, despite the fact that she is pregnant. After Charley tells Ian about Sydney's affair with Chris Agretti at the winery, the two brothers agree to kill their wives for deceiving them. Richard lets Lauren know how much she means to him. After Frank sees Sydney and Ian in a struggle, he tries to help, but when Ian gets the upper hand, Sydney saves Frank by killing Ian with a letter opener. Charley chases after Emma, but Emma shoots him in the chest.

10/215. Danny

Herido de bala, CHARLEY desaparece de FALCON CREST. SYDNEY está preocupada por la ausencia de CHRIS, temerosa de que los St. JAMES le hayan matado. MICHAEL consigue el control de los terrenos, amenazando con presentar cargos criminales contra EMMA por autorizar la venta del vino estropeado. DANNY, el hijo de MICHAEL, presenta a su padre pruebas evidentes que halló durante una cita con SYDNEY. RICHARD sospecha que la situación matrimonial de LAUREN está empeorando, mientras que LANCE se resiste a volver a tener relaciones con PILAR.

With a bullet wound in the chest, Charley disappears from Falcon Crest. Because Chris Agretti is missing, Sydney worries that Ian and Charley might have killed him. Sharpe gains control of Falcon Crest by threatening to press criminal charges against Emma for authorizing the release of tainted wine. Sharpe's son Danny provides his father with crucial evidence, which he found while on a date with Sydney. Richard suspects that Lauren's marital situation is worsening, while Lance resists renewing a sexual relationship with Pilar.

11/216. Time Bomb (Bomba de tiempo)

Como venganza por haber ayudado a MICHAEL a controlar FALCON CREST, RICHARD convence a JACE SAMPSON para que invierta todo su dinero en una operación que le arruina. La relación de PILAR y LANCE empeora. Cuando WALKER encuentra a RICHARD y LAUREN besándose, se enfrenta a ellos con una carga de dinamita atada a su pecho, que explotará cuando el temporizador termine su cuenta. En vez de matar a LAUREN y a los niños, WALKER corre afuera cuando explota la dinamita.

As payback for Jace Sampson's cooperation in Sharpe's takeover of Falcon Crest, Richard talks Jace into making an investment after which Jace loses all his money. Pilar and Lance's estrangement worsens. After Walker catches Richard and Lauren kissing, he confronts them with dynamite strapped to his chest, which is set to go off when the timer runs out. Rather than kill Lauren and the boys along with Richard, Walker runs outside just as the dynamite explodes.

12/217. Madness Descending (Locura inminente)

Cuando GENELE obliga a FRANK a salir de su casa para poder acostarse con su amante MICHAEL, él entrega las cenizas de la hermana de GENELE y la ex mujer de FRANK, RENÉE, a la policía, informándoles de que GENELE la mató diez años antes. SYDNEY intenta que PILAR y LANCE se reconcilien. MICHAEL se enfada cuando LAUREN se va a vivir con RICHARD después de lo que pasó con WALKER, y además trata de actuar como mentor de DANNY en su carrera.

When Genele forces Frank out of his own home in order to entertain her lover Sharpe, Frank delivers the remains of Genele's sister and Frank's ex-wife Renee to the police, informing them that Genele killed her ten years before. Sydney tries to push Pilar and Lance back together. Sharpe is displeased when Lauren moves in with Richard after her ordeal with Walker. Sharpe tries to act as a business mentor for Danny.

Afectada por los recuerdos de la muerte de su marido, LAUREN se va de casa de RICHARD y acepta la invitación de GENELE. Cuando DANNY propone a SYDNEY pasar una noche romántica en el yate de su padre, ella prefiere que LANCE y PILAR vayan en su lugar. Cuando MICHAEL utiliza información confidencial sobre los negocios de RICHARD, gana con ello 300 millones mientras que este pierde 52. RICHARD acusa erróneamente a LAUREN de filtrar la información. Después de presentarse en la puerta de RICHARD, GENELE se quita la ropa.

Haunted by the memory of her husband's death, Lauren moves out of Richard's place and in with Genele. When Danny invites Sydney for a romantic night on his father's yacht, Sydney maneuvers to put Lance and Pilar on the boat together instead. When Sharpe uses sensitive information about Richard's business dealings, he makes $300 million and Richard loses $52 million. Richard wrongfully accuses Lauren of leaking the information. After showing up at Richard's door, Genele removes her clothes.

14/219. Brotherly Love (Amor fraternal)

DANNY resiste los intentos de MICHAEL por controlarle la vida y separarlo de SYDNEY. Cuando esta los reúne, LANCE y PILAR planean recuperar FALCON CREST. Cuando RICHARD descubre por PILAR que MICHAEL averiguó sus secretos financieros a través de GENELE, echa a esta e intenta reconciliarse con LAUREN. Al darse cuenta de que el afecto de su hermano es más que fraternal, LAUREN decide que se marchará también de la casa de este.

Danny fights Sharpe's attempts to control his life and to make him break up with Sydney. After Sydney brings them back together, Lance and Pilar make plans to retake control of Falcon Crest. When Richard learns through Pilar that Genele was responsible for delivering his business secrets to Sharpe, he throws Genele out and attempts to reconcile with Lauren. Realizing that her brother's affection for her is more than just brotherly, Lauren decides she has to leave Sharpe's house.

15/220. Finding Lauren (Encontrar a Laura)

RICHARD y MICHAEL buscan a LAUREN, harta de sus peleas, que ha huido para trabajar como camarera en una cafetería. MICHAEL intenta convencer a DANNY de que rompa con SYDNEY, que desea que FALCON CREST vuelva a estar en poder de los CHANNING. Cuando LANCE y PILAR le piden qué pueden hacer para que se lo venda, MICHAEL dice que deberán separa a SYDNEY y DANNY. Cuando LAUREN vuelve con RICHARD y los niños, ella debe de enfrentarse a la obsesión de él con su esposa fallecida MAGGIE.

Richard and Sharpe search for Lauren, who had grown tired of their fighting and ran off to work as a waitress in a diner. Sharpe attempts to convince Danny to drop Sydney, who wants Falcon Crest to return to the Channing's. When Lance and Pilar ask Sharpe what it would take for him to sell them Falcon Crest, Sharpe tells them to break up Sydney and Danny. When Lauren returns to Richard and the boys, she has to deal with Richard's continuing obsession with his dead wife Maggie.

Tras interceptar bonos robados con los que trafica MICHAEL, GENELE consigue que RICHARD los haga efectivos. LANCE, PILAR y DANNY creen que las cosas por fin han dado un giro en las bodegas. GENELE debe pagar una cantidad secreta a un testigo, pero RICHARD ha decidido quedarse con todo el dinero como venganza por sus engaños en el pasado. RICHARD cobra las acciones con el apellido SHARPE, y este asume que su hijo DANNY lo hizo influenciado por SYDNEY. Después de que MICHAEL manipule el coche de la chica, es DANNY quien resulta tomarlo prestado y acaba teniendo un accidente.

After Genele intercepts stolen bonds that Sharpe is trafficking, she arranges for Richard to cash them. Lance, Pilar and Danny believe that things are finally turning around for the winery. Genele has to pay hush money to a witness, but Richard has decided to keep all the money as revenge for Genele's past deceit. When Richard has the bonds cashed under the name Sharpe, Sharpe assumes his son Danny did it under Sydney's influence. After Sharpe tampers with Sydney's car, Danny happens to borrow her car and ends up in an accident.

DANNY sufre una grave herida en la cabeza como resultado del accidente con el coche de SYDNEY. La madre de DANNY, ANNE NOWEN, y MICHAEL deciden aprobar una peligrosa operación para extraer un fragmento de hueso de la columna vertebral de DANNY. Desanimado por la mala suerte que trae a todos sus novios, SYDNEY se marcha del valle. Sospechando que MICHAEL pudo haber provocado el accidente, RICHARD y LANCE localizan al mecánico encargado de la manipulación del coche, SACCO. Avisado de la visita de estos, MICHAEL envía a su chófer NICK a asegurarse de que SACCO no hable.

Danny has a severe head injury as a result of crashing Sydney's car, which Sharpe had tampered with to get at Sydney. Danny's mother, Anne Bowen, and Sharpe decide to approve a dangerous operation to remove a bone shard from Danny's spinal cord. Discouraged by the bad luck she seems to bring to all her boyfriends, Sydney leaves Falcon Crest. Suspecting that Sharpe was behind the car accident, Richard and Lance track down the auto mechanic, Sacco, who did the tampering. Alerted to Richard and Lance'sinvolvement, Sharpe sends his chauffeur Nick to ensure that Sacco doesn't talk.

LAUREN intenta que ANNE haga las paces con MICHAEL. Ambas mujeres desean que padre e hijo lleguen a un entendimiento, pero cuando se marchan, tanto RICHARD como MICHAEL juran que encontrarán al mecánico. PILAR se hace pasar por una vagabunda para ganarse la confianza de la novia de SACCO. Sin embargo, el secuaz de MICHAEL sigue a este y a PILAR y, cuando NICK está a punto de matar al mecánico, LANCE lo desarma por la espalda. Con el informante que necesitan para quitarle la propiedad a MICHAEL, PILAR y LANCE llaman a RICHARD.

Lauren tries to persuade Anne to reconcile with Sharpe. Anne and Lauren work to create an understanding between Sharpe and Richard, but once the women leave, Sharpe and Richard each vow to find the mechanic Sharpe hired to tamper with Sydney's car. Pilar disguises herself as a homeless woman to win the trust of Sacco's girlfriend, who leads Pilar to Sacco. Sharpe's henchman, Nick, follows both of them. However, when Nick is about to shoot Sacco, Lance disarms him from behind. With the informant they need to wrest Falcon Crest from Sharpe, Pilar and Lance call Richard.

RICHARD ha averiguado que MICHAEL estaba detrás del sabotaje que casi mata a su hijo DANNY, y puede demostrarlo con su mecánico. Para evitar que el chico y ANNE se enteren, le transfiere a RICHARD la propiedad de FALCON CREST. Cuando ella accede a darle una segunda oportunidad, cambia de opinión al saber la verdad por SACCO, que llega borracho a la casa. ANNE revela a su ex marido el secreto que le ha guardado durante 21 años: RICHARD es el verdadero padre de DANNY. Tras pasar varios meses en coma, ANGELA vuelve en si:

"Se despertó, como si hubiera echado una siesta, exigiendo salir de aquí lo antes posible. Deberían haberla visto caminando por el pasillo, ni siquiera nos dejó que avisáramos a su familia" - explica su enfermera.

RICHARD knows that Sharpe was behind the sabotage that almost killed his son, Danny, and he has Johnny Sacco, the mechanic paid to tamper with Sydney's car, to prove it. In order to keep Danny and his estranged wife Anne from knowing his involvement in the accident, Sharpe transfers ownership of Falcon Crest to Richard. After Anne agrees to give her marriage with Sharpe a second chance, she changes her mind when Johnny Sacco arrives intoxicated at the Sharpe residence and tells Anne everything. Anne lets Sharpe in on a secret she's kept for 21 years: Richard is Danny's real father. After several months in a coma, Angela revives:

"She wakes up, after taking a little nap, demanding to check out as soon as possible, you should've seen her walking down the hall, she wouldn't even let us notify her own family" - her nurse explains.

MICHAEL está afectado por la noticia de que su odiado rival RICHARD es el padre de DANNY. Los planes de RICHARD para dirigir las bodegas con LAUREN se quedan en nada cuando ANGELA vuelve tras recuperar la consciencia. Informa a ANGELA de que no puede reclamarlas legalmente, y ella finge estar de acuerdo, aunque planea en secreto impedir la boda de RICHARD con LAUREN con ayuda de MICHAEL.

Sharpe reels from the news that his hated rival Richard is Danny's father. Richard's plans to run the winery with Lauren run into a snag when Angela returns after regaining consciousness. When Richard informs Angela that she has no legal claim to the winery, Angela pretends to give in, but she is secretly planning to block Richard's marriage to Lauren with the help of Michael Sharpe.

Después de saber que RICHARD es su padre, DANNY acude a MICHAEL para decirle que no le importa, pero este lo echa de su despacho afirmando que deben seguir caminos separados. Como DANNY no tiene empleo ni donde vivir, LAUREN lo invita a quedarse con ellos, pero RICHARD no quiere tener nada que ver con él. Tras ser testigo del lado desagradable de RICHARD, LAUREN piensa en cancelar la boda. Sin embargo, cuando DANNY amenaza con suicidarse, RICHARD y MICHAEL acuerdan ayudarle, lo cual disuade a la mujer. Con la boda de nuevo a la vista, ANGELA deberá encontrar otra forma de evitarla.

After Danny learns that Richard is his father, he goes to Sharpe to tell him it doesn't matter, but Sharpe throws him out of his office and tells him that they should go their separate ways. Because Danny has no job and nowhere to live, Lauren invites him to live with her and Richard, but Richard wants nothing to do with Danny. After witnessing this callous side of Richard, Lauren considers calling off their wedding. When Danny threatens suicide, however, Richard and Sharpe agree to help him, which reassures Lauren. With the wedding back on schedule, Angela must find another way to stop it.

Antes de que RICHARD y LAUREN celebren su boda en la mansión, él accede a venderle de nuevo FALCON CREST a ANGELA, con la condición de que la mitad vaya a sus hijos, en caso de que ella muera. Sin embargo, LANCE recibirá ahora el 10% y el resto tras su muerte. Cuando el banquete de bodas llega a su fin, ANGELA rememora a toda la gente que ha pasado por el valle durante la última década y brinda por el futuro de FALCON CREST:

"Las personas van y vienen, pero la tierra permanece. Brindo por ti, FALCON CREST. Que vivas muchos años..."

As Richard and Lauren enjoy their wedding at the winery, Richard agrees to sell Falcon Crest back to Angela on the condition that half will go to his sons in the event of her death. Lance, however, will receive ten percent now and the remainder after Angela's death. As the wedding reception draws to a close, Angela recalls all the people who passed through Tuscany Valley during the last decade and toasts the future of Falcon Crest:

"People come and go, but the land endures. A toast to you, Falcon Crest and long may you live!"
