In the aftermath of the earthquake, aftershocks rock the region and the people of the Tuscany Valley struggle to cope with the loss of property and loved ones. Father Bob transforms his church into a field hospital for the earthquake victims and as an information center for concerned friends and relatives. As the death toll mounts in the valley, Maggie and Cole wait in a hospital for the doctor's prognosis of Chase's gunshot wound.

Cuando el fantasma de JEFF persigue a MAGGIE, ella supera su miedo intrínseco a las armas y se compra una pistola para protegerse. Cuando VICKIE regresa, admite que no sólo ha pasado por dos divorcios, sino que ha mentido al decir que es una famosa bailarina de ballet. A pesar de varios momentos incómodos, KIT consigue ocultar su pasado a PETER. Pero ANGELA advierte a este: "Mucho cuidado, PETER. Después de tantos años, no tienes ni idea del tipo de mujer que SKYLER es."
After the specter of Jeff haunts Maggie, she overcomes her intrinsic fear of firearms and purchases a gun for protection. When Vickie returns home, she admits that not only has she has gone through two divorces, but that she lied about being a famous ballet dancer. Angela considers a foreclosure. In spite of a few close calls, Kit succeeds in hiding her past from Peter. But Angela warns him: "Go slowly, Peter. After all these years, you haven't the foggiest idea what kind of a woman Skyler is."

Cuando JEFF vuelve al valle, se siente atraído por VICKIE. Las sospechas de ANGELA y la llegada de un detective ponen en peligro la mascarada de KIT. Cuando ANGELA añade el lujoso balneario del valle a sus propiedades, descubre que alguien amenaza su compra de la cosecha AGRETTI. Le dice a CHASE: "Ser el casero de RICHARD es una cosa, pero he visto lo que ser su socio puede hacerle a tu salud." Cuando TONY CUMSON regresa al valle, se sorprende ante el estado en que se encuentra su ex mujer JULIA, mientras ANGELA se pone en acción para alejarlo de la familia.
Upon his return to the Tuscany Valley, Wainwright also becomes interested in Vicky. Angela's suspicion and the arrival of a detective jeopardize Kit 's masquerade. When Angela adds the valley's plush spa to her holdings, she learns that an unexpected source threatens her anticipated hold on the Agretti grape harvest. She tells Chase: "Being Richard's landlord is one thing, but I've seen what being his partner can do to one's health!" When Tony Cumson returns to the valley, he is appalled at the condition of his former wife, Julia, as Angela moves quickly to keep him out of the family.

MAGGIE confiesa a CHASE los motivos de su nerviosismo a CHASE, mientras JEFF cambia de táctica para atraer a su hja VICKY. Cuando RICHARD descubre el secreto de KIT, lo usa a su favor. Cuando se presenta, ella le pregunta: "¿Es familiar de ANGELA?" Entonces él responde: "Muy lejano..." LANCE y MELISSA encuentran un punto en común. TONY intenta retomar su relación paternal con LANCE, pero sus problemas son demasiado graves. ANGELA celebra la fiesta de inauguración del balneario.
While Maggie confesses the reasons for her distress to Chase, Wainwright changes his tactics to ingratiate himself with their daughter, Vicky. When Richard Channing discovers Kit's secret, he is able to use it to his advantage. When he introduces himself, she asks: "As in Angela Channing?" Then he answers: "She is a distant relative... many times removed." Lance and Melissa find a common bond. Tony Cumson tries to reconcile his father-son relationship with Lance, but the wounds are too deep. Angela hosts a party for the opening of her spa.

As Chase hires a private detective to protect Maggie, he is unaware that his daughter also needs protection. Troubled by Kit's denunciation of Fixx, Lance fires Kit, while Angela plans to pit Lance against Fixx. Julia informs the family about an unexpected decision. Miss Jones falls for Richard's scheme and both fishermen think they have caught the big one. Richard also snares Angela to bail him out of their racetrack. Lance and Melissa return from their wedding and Fixx becomes suspicious of Kit's mysterious activities. Wainwright gets Vicky under his control.

Un artículo en el periódico alerta a VICKIE del peligro que corre con JEFF. Cuando él se da cuenta de que sabe la verdad, la aterroriza y la obliga a disfrazarse de su madre. LANCE y MELISSA celebran un banquete de bodas, que ANGELA acepta a regañadientes, y despierta sentimientos encontrados en los invitados. "¿El champán es gratis?" - pregunta RICHARD a EMMA. "En realidad sirve el de CHASE. No lo admitiría, pero la he visto ahí dentro arrancando las etiquetas." CHASE y MELISSA no se ponen de acuerdo sobre JOSEPH. LANCE intenta convencer a su padre para que financie las bodegas de MELISSA. TONY acepta la oferta de CHASE. RICHARD informa a ANGELA de que el hipódromo está condenado. Luego ella y PETER discuten sobre los cheques robados: "¿Te das cuenta de hasta dónde llega tu voz?" - le dice a PETER. "Alrededor del mundo, Angela Channing-Stavros, y no lo olvides..." Cuando MAGGIE se enfrenta a RICHARD por su artículo sobre JEFF, CHASE le da un puñetazo a su hermanastro.
A newspaper article alerts Vicky to the danger she's in with Wainwright, but, when he realizes she knows the truth about him, he terrorizes her and forces her to masquerade as her mother. Lance and Melissa have a wedding reception, which Angela reluctantly hosts, bringing forth mixed emotions from the guests: "Is the champagne free?" - Richard asks Emma. "Actually she's pouring Chase's. She won't admit it, but I saw she was in there scraping off the labels." Chase and Melissa disagree about Joseph. Lance tries to persuade his father to finance his partnership in Melissa's winery, but Tony accepts Chase's offer. Emma's date, Richard, informs Angela that Tuscany Downs is being condemned. Peter and Angela argue over her stolen checks: "Do you realize how far your voice carry?" - she tells him. "Around the world Angela Channing-Stavros and don't you forget it!" When Maggie confronts Richard over his article on Wainwright, Chase approaches with fists flying.

ANGELA explica a PETER por qué se preocupa tanto por DAN FIXX, incluso después de que el GLOBE revela que estuvo en la cárcel. En el último minuto, RICHARD pone una trampa a ERIN para salvarle la vida a CHASE. COLE desaprueba la nueva asociación de su padre con TONY. KIT intenta mediar en el asunto de los cheques robados para aliviar el dolor de PETER.
After Vicky slips from his grasp, Wainwright returns to the valley and attacks Chase in his pursuit of Maggie. When Lance can no longer compete with Angela's preoccupation with Dan Fixx, he surprises his grandmother with a new venture. Angela explains to Peter why she is taking such care of Dan, even after The New Globe reveals him as an ex-convict. At the last minute, Richard springs his trap on Miss Jones to save Chase's life. Cole disapproves of his father's new partnership with Tony. Kit tries to intercede in the matter of Angela's stolen checks because of the pain it is causing Peter.

KIT recurre a RICHARD para que le ayude con DAN, y le da al primero un arma para usar contra ANGELA. MAGGIE se siente incapaz de mediar para que COLE y CHASE hagan las paces. ANGELA ofrece a la hermana de ERIN, MEREDITH BRAXTON, el puesto de niñera en casa de RICHARD. Este lanza residuos cerca de los vieñdos de CHASE y TONY.
After Angela, who is annoyed at Lance's defection to Richard's New Globe, continues her patronage of Dan Fixx. Emma seeks guidance from a storefront psychic. Kit appeals to Richard for help from Fixx, giving Richard a weapon to use against Angela. Maggie is unable to help her troubled son or herself mend their relationships with Chase. Angela provides Miss Jones' sister with the nanny job in Richard's house. Richard dumps waste near Chase and Tony's vineyard.

While Chase buries himself in his business deals and his political campaign, Maggie agonizes over the problems of her children, but mostly about her baby. While Cole takes his unhappiness out on his family, Vicky grows closer to Dan. With her paternity tests inconclusive, Maggie's fears increase along with her determination. Chase and Tony discover that their vines are withering. Angela and Lance fight over his association with The Globe and her obsession with Dan. Meredith starts her seduction of Richard Channing. Lance conspires with Karlotti to take over Emma's stock certificates in The New Globe. A hit man sees through Kit's disguise.

VICKY va a ver a DAN, a quien no aprueban sus padres. CHASE acepta los puntos de vista de su inminente maternidad. ANGELA asiste a una sesión de KARLOTTI, decisiva para que LANCE controle las acciones de EMMA. CHASE y TONY averiguan que la contaminación procede del hipódromo y las pruebas señalan a que ANGELA ha conspirado para arruinarles.
Maggie's determination to keep her baby, regardless of the consequences, further alienates her from her family. Cole is adamant about leading his life away from the family, and Maggie has no choice but to give him her blessing. Vicki goes to see Dan Fixx, whom her parents disapprove. Chase accepts his wife's views on her upcoming motherhood. Angela attends Karlotti's seance, which is instrumental in giving Lance control of Emma's holdings. Chase and Tony discover vineyards contaminated from the dumping at Tuscany Downs, with evidence pointing to Angela's conspiracy to ruin her rivals.

Cuando su crisis marital se reflejan en su campaña para supervisor del condado, CHASE y MAGGIE discuten sobre su matrimonio. Aunque PETER está preocupado por la inocencia de ANGELA, la defiende con lealtad. RICHARD está decidido a frustrar la toma de control del GLOBE. KIT sucumbe al encanto de TONY, pero es aterrorizada por STAFFORD.
As Maggie fights her loneliness, Chase struggles to save his vineyards. Vicky allows her parent's problems to affect her relationship with Dan Fixx. As Chase's marital problems reflect on his campaign for county supervisor, he and Maggie face the facts about their troubled marriage. Even though Peter is troubled over Angela's innocence, he loyally stands by her. Richard is determined to defeat Lance's attempt at a takeover of The New Globe. Kit succumbs to Tony's charm, but is terrorized by Stafford.

Debido a cómo ha manipulado a MELISSA en el pasado, LANCE no consigue hacerse con el control del GLOBE. RICHARD localiza al joven que aquel usó para engañar a MELISSA, y esta exige a LANCE que se vaya de su casa. EMMA invita a KARLOTTI a casa para que busque el espíritu de DWAYNE, y empieza a transmitirle su afecto al vidente. ANGELA sospecha que LANCE le puso una trampa. KIT no sabe si debería dejar a TONY y seguir el plan de GUY para fingir su suicidio. DAN consigue derribar las defensas de VICKY. MAGGIE ve cómo CHASE le da un beso a GWEN y esto provoca que surjan complicaciones en su embarazo.
Due to his past manipulations of Melissa's life, Lance's attempt to win control of The New Globe backfires. Richard produces the man who framed Melissa, who demands that Lance move out. Emma brings Karlotti home to trace Wayne's spirit and begins to transfer her affections to the medium. Angela begins to believe that Lance framed her. Kit is reluctant to leave Tony for Guy and his plans of a fake suicide. Dan is able to break through Vicky's defenses. Maggie observes Chase's victory kiss from Gwen and has complications with her pregnancy.
