50 - the double dealing

December 2, 1983: Richard Channing was being pressured by the infamous Cartel after the death of his (presumed) Bad Mama Jacqueline Perrault, who had turned out to be the "Capo" of this international terrorist organization. Now Richard had on his side a woman from Krypton, no less: Pamela Lynch (played by Sarah Douglas, who had recently appeared as a baddie in the two first Superman movies starring Christopher Reeve). Meanwhile, Maggie´s sister Terry didn´t seem to have any of the latter´s virtues, though she tried hard to change...and to get a rich husband like Dr. Michael Ranson, Chase´s cousin. Despite her great skills and fine looks, Laura Johnson´s career went downhill after being axed by the show´s producers and his character, killed by the earthquake. The same thing happened to Sarah Douglas, who even played Dalí´s wife (!!) in a Spanish biopic of the painter.

Enero de 1986: Richard Channing tenía que soportar la presión por parte de la infame Compañía tras la muerte de su (presunta) Mamá Terrible, Jacqueline Perrault, que resultó ser la jefa de esta organización terrorista internacional. Ahora, Richard tenía de su parte a una mujer del Planeta Krypton, nada menos: Pamela Lynch (interpretada por Sarah Douglas, que había aparecido recientemente como villana en las 2 primeras pelis de Superman protagonizadas por Christopher Reeve). Mientras, la hermana de Maggie, Terry, no parecía poseer ninguna de las virtudes de aquella, aunque se esforzaba por cambiar...para poder cazar a un marido rico como el Dr. Michael Ranson, el primo de Chase. A pesar de su talento como actriz y su espléndido físico, la carrera de Laura Johnson fue en declive tras ser despedida por los productores de la serie y fallecer su personaje a causa del terremoto. Lo mismo le ocurrió a Sarah Douglas, que llegó a interpretar a la mujer de Dalí (!!) en una biografía española del pintor.
