Annual Meeting (12/13/2012)

Please note: These are not the official meeting minutes. The official minutes are recorded by Joe Ramsey, Property Manager, and are archived at the offices of Sentry Management.

Members of the community gathered at the Botanical Park last evening at 7:00 for the Annual Meeting. 30 members were required for a quorum. Since only 26 members and proxies were present, the meeting was not able to commence on schedule. While more members were contacted, Mike Hogan, president, convened a regular Members Meeting. Reports were made as follows:

- The front lakes have been inspected and no major violations were reported

- The Christmas lights were put up by Frank Maruca and Ray Dalto

- There are two houses in Hawthorn Park that are in the foreclosure process. The Association has not been able to collect fees which puts a financial burden on the rest of us. The Association may, by law, collect only 12 months of back fees. Resolution is expected early in 2013.

- The bulk rate TV contract with Bright House will be in effect until the end of December 2014 (2 more years). If the Association covenants are not amended by the end of 2014 the Board will request bids from TV providers as required by the deed restrictions.

- Committee heads reported nothing unusual.

The Annual Meeting was convened at 7:29 after enough members arrived at the meeting to form a quorum. Four Board members term’s were about to expire so nominations were taken. Board members whose terms were expiring agreed to serve again if elected. The following nominations were made:

Ray Dalto *

Frank Maruca *

Pam Bawden

George Sinclair *

Mike Sandstrum *

Those with an * after their name were elected. The meeting ended at 8:04.
