Anna Kay Faris was born 29 Nov 1976 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of John Homan "Jack" Faris and his wife Karen Bathurst. When Anna was six years old, the family moved to Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington. Her father, a sociologist, became employed at the University of Washington. Her mother, initially a housewife, became a special education teacher at Seaview Elementary school in Edmonds.

Robert E Lee Faris was born 1906/07 in Waco, McLennan County, Texas, the son of Ellsworth Eugene Faris and his wife Elizabeth Lee "Bessie" Homan. He was living in 1930 in Chicago, where that year or the next he married Clara Guignard. In 1948, they moved to Seattle. He was Chairman of the Department of Sociology at the University of Washington 1953-66. He died of a stroke 25 Feb 1998 "age 91" (Obit)

Clara Guignard was born in 1907/08 in North Carolina, the daughter of Episcopal minister Sanders Richardson Guignard and his wife Emily Breggy Hill. She would appear to be the same Clara Guignard who attended the North Carolina College for Women in 1927. In 1930/31, probably in Chicago, she married Robert E Lee Faris. In 1948, they moved to Seattle. Clara died 5 Nov 1992 at "age 84" (Obit)

Winchell Bathurst was born 28 Jun 1916 in King County, Washington, the son of John Bathurst and his wife Vinnie Winchell. In 1930, he is living with his parents in Pine, Elmore County, Idaho. In 1939 he was an engineering cadet on the S.S. Coldbrook. On 16 Jul 1942 in Kitsap County, Washington, he married Minnie Madie Meins. He appears in the 1951 Seattle City Directory as a steam engineer.
