Visitor Count: David Blankenhorn has recently come to the forefront, due to his testimony in the ongoing California Proposition 8 Trial, occurring in the Federal Courts. Since Ancestry shows that there are several currently living men by this name, I'm going to show which one of those he is.

David Blankenhorn, the witness in the trial, is known to be a champion of father's rights and has written a book called "Fatherless America". The New York Times, in an article dated 19 Jun 1994 calls this author him "David G Blankenhorn". In that article it also states that he then had a wife named Raina Sacks and a 4-year-old son named Raymond.

David is the founder and President of the Institute for American Values. USA Today in an article dated 13 Mar 2007, tells us, he was then 51 years old, a native of Mississippi, who went to Harvard. He then had twin daughters Sophie and Allie, as well as the son Raymond, and wife Raina. The article also states that he has written dozens of articles, written two books and co-edited eight other books.

Evidently, per this Google search, he is also known as David Blankenhorn Jr., while this Google search states that he was a native of Jackson, Mississippi. Which then leads to this Google search, which states that he attended public schools in Jackson and in Salem, Virginia. The USA Today article also repeats Jackson, and adds "where his parents still live". Explaining this further, here we see that his father's job transferred the family to Salem. But evidently some time later, the moved back to Jackson.

I don't yet know the names of David's parents, but there cannot be that many Blankenhorn's, living in Jackson Mississippi in 1956. There was a David G Blankenhorn, born in 1932 and living in Madison, Mississippi, who may be his father, and this would explain the use of "Jr" above. This David's wife is named Diane.
