How to Setup SharePoint Messaging

Before we proceed to mobile account configuration, we need to create a trusted root authority using the root certificate for the SMS service provider's HTTPS Web address.

How to Configure a Mobile Account:

    • Open the SharePoint 2010 Central Administration

    • On the Central Administration Home page, click System Settings.

    • On the System Settings page, in the E-Mail and Text Messages (SMS) section, click Configure mobile account.

    • On Mobile Account Settings Page, in the Text Message (SMS) Service Settings section, enter the following information:

In the "The URL of Text Message (SMS) Service:" field, enter https://api.tellustalk.com/outlook (obs text på bilden visar gamla url:en)

In the "User Name:" and "Password:" fields, enter your Tellustalk Id and password respectively.

    • To confirm that the URL and user credentials are correct, click on "Test Service" button and it should display "The account is valid." message as showcased below.

    • Click "OK" and it's done.
