Distribution list Authors
A distribution list can have one or several authors. These can make posts to the list, i.e. send messages to all active members of the list.
A distribution list can have one of two settings:
All members have the right to make posts via the distribution list.
Only selected authors have the right to make posts.
Selected authors are added either by entering their mobile numbers or their email addresses.
There are three ways to post to the distribution list.
The author can send an email to the distribution list. The email address is available under the menu choice "Send to list".
The administrator can write a message in the textarea available under the menu choice "Send to list".
The author can send an SMS to the number connected to the distribution list. If the connected number is a short number, the SMS must start with the keyword in front of the message in order for the message to be forwarded to all the list's members.
Only authors who have been added by entering their mobile numbers can send SMSes to the distribution list.
Only authors who have been added by entering their email address can use email to make posts to the list.
In order for an author to be able to both email and text posts to the list, both the authors email address and mobile number must be entered.
If no authors are entered the groups administrator automatically becomes an author when the group is created.
