If you want to understand options and equity better….

A. Equity 101

Carta has a great 3-part post on this that covers most everything you'd want to know; strike prices, dilution, taxes, etc, etc. Highly recommended.

B. Where can I see my info?

If you’ve received an invitation to Carta that will show you your grants and the vesting status. Accept that invite and check it out. All grants have to be approved by the Board, which happens about quarterly. So you may get your invitation to Carta a few weeks after you start.

C. But what about X, Y, or Z.... ?

This equity stuff is like taxes... It can be complicated (but isn't always) and most people don't think about it much until they have to. If you have other questions about any of this, my first recommendation is that you start by searching Carta’s employee education center. And also ping me or Nate. We're both happy to chat.
