Essential Question: How do artists learn from trial and error?
I learned alot about keeping pieces smooth. Most of the time I spent on the pinch pots was smoothing and getting rid of cracks and in the end, it really pays off. One error I made was not making enough time to glaze all my pieces so while I have enough pieces for the criteria my sprig pot is left unglazed. If I were to give anyone recommendations I would say take your time but make sure to leave time for things coming later.
Contrast is super important in these pinch pots because it shows off texture and the difference between the inside and the outside of the piece. I show this on my Mime pot with the white outside with the addition of small details and then the contrasting deep blue inside.
If I could make another piece I would make another sprig pot. I feel out of all my pots the sprig pot needed more time it's not the neatest, and it was left unglazed. Although I still love it I just wish that I could redo the idea and execute the time and the process of making it.
Planning! (some are missing for some reason I couldn't find them)
