My Color Aura

Purpose:

• To become familiar with how color is used in the art world;

• To understand how different colors are associated with emotion/mood;

• To create a collage with images and colors that represent “you”, your aura.

Not too long ago I was talking with my family about aura colors and unanimously they agreed mine was some kind of yellow or orange. I really felt as though amber specifically called to me, because the color of amber can range from yellows to oranges. Amber has the ability to form and capture something in time like a photo. Its naturally occurring and I like to think of myself as a very all natural kind of person. I included some amber stones in my collage but I also included a surfboard because the ocean is a big part of my time outdoors. The album in my collage is by 311 and it includes the song "Amber" which sings about amber being the color of your energy and shining naturally.
