Calotype was the introduction of a new photo developing and taking method. It allows for muliple copies to be printed of the same photo.William Henry Fox Talbot was the inventor of the process discovering it by accident attempting to use another photo method. 

The calotype method being able to duplicate photos and using the positive negative spectrum for photo taking sparked the modern age of photography. The calotype method is still used in the modern day and as we develop pictures and photo taking further the same ideas are kept.
