Students will dive deeper into mediums, surfaces, techniques, content and concepts. Students will learn and practice using the visual language and start developing a visual voice. This course provides an opportunity to experiment, develop technique and work with multiple mediums. Emphasis is placed on experiences with elements of art, exposure, styles and concept development for future art courses in order to grow and and enhance the student's abilities.

Description
This course provides an opportunity for students to expand on drawing and painting concepts introduced in Studio Art. Emphasis is placed on experiences with design principles, drawing techniques and painting skills which will aid the student in advanced art courses. Students will be given in-depth problems to solve creatively while becoming more adept through a broad exposure to various media.
This is an entry level painting course designed to develop basic painting skills as well as explore a variety of paining techniques and mediums. A range of subject matter will be explored, as well as color theory, composition, art concepts, visual elements and principles of design, and components of making meaningful work. Foundations I or Drawing I should be taken first as foundation courses.

Description
This upper level course is designed for students who wish to further develop their artistic skills and techniques. This course is recommended for students who wish to develop a portfolio for college. Students will be encouraged to expand their creative ideas through three main categories: Sketchbook, Selected Works, and Sustainable Investigation. Students will have the option of taking the AP exam in the Spring.

Description
This course is geared towards compiling a 3D portfolio for college credit. Students will be working on a college level and be expected to complete 4-6 hours of work per week in class and outside of school in order to keep up with the intense projects. It is recommended that students take this course as a junior and senior if possible. Students will complete 20 works of art to submit in their AP Portfolio. AP portfolio required. An AP score of 3-5 receives ART 1030 (3) AND ART 1xxxx (3) credits at WSU.

Students will learn functions of digital cameras, composition techniques, and Adobe Photoshop for photo editing, enhancing, and manipulation. These concepts will enable the student to be more knowledgeable and prepared to enter the field of commercial photography.
This course is an introduction to the field of commercial photography. This course will cover many basic concepts, including but not limited to: purchasing a digital camera, image capture, image editing, and image output. This course will also feature Adobe Photoshop, its features and uses. These concepts will enable the student to be more knowledgeable and prepared to enter the field of commercial photography. If available, students are advised to continue on with the Commercial Photo II course.

This course is designed for students who want to further enhance their knowledge and abilities in the art of photography. It is an application of the skills learned in Basic Digital Photography with an emphasis on professional jobs and assignments used in commercial photography. Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom are taught and used. A portfolio is compiled by the end of the course. Students will be required to take a State Level Certification Test.
