This concurrent enrollment course expands on foundational sewing skills through an applied, college-level curriculum focused on sports and outdoor projects. Students will demonstrate proficiency in the safe operation, care, and maintenance of sewing machines while constructing functional and well-designed items suited for active and outdoor use. Emphasis is placed on precision, pattern interpretation, material selection, and problem-solving throughout the design and construction process. In addition to advanced sewing techniques, students will develop essential academic and workforce skills including critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, perseverance, and the ability to follow multi-step technical instructions.
