Description
This course applies advanced concepts and principles using word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and electronic presentation software. Students may have the opportunity to obtain a Microsoft Office Specialist industry certificate through Microsoft and Certiport per district discretion. The certification is recognized worldwide as the best method for employers to validate computer skill proficiency. Students will integrate applications learned. This course builds on skills included in Digital Literacy.

Description
CSP is an introduction to the world of computer science. Student will learn basic CS principles by creating apps for android devices using MIT App Inventor. Then they will transition into the language Python which is a Top 5 most in-demand language and easiest language to learn. You will also learn some basics in HTML and CSS. This class is a great first class. If you sign up for the 4 college credits, you earn 1.33 high school credits which is split up between Digital Studies AND Core Science AND CTE Credit. Depending on what credit you need. This class has it all!
