Schools must have completed their pay review process for staff by 30th September each year. This includes approval of the recommended pay awards (prepared by the Principal/Headteacher) by the school Pay Committee.
Following approval of the pay awards, the school must provide the trust finance team with details of their calculations (to update payroll) and a copy of the minutes of the Pay Committee meeting for sharing with the trust Pay Committee members.
The school pay awards, and the trust central team pay recommendations (prepared by the CEO) are reviewed and approved by the trust Pay Committee by mid-October each year. Following approval, the information is passed to the finance team for inclusion in the November salary payment.
It is important that the pay process is completed in schools by the deadline to ensure the new salary amount can be paid as quickly as possible.
