How to log in
The first time you log in, you’ll be asked to set a password.
After that, you’ll just need to enter your college email address.
A unique security code will then be sent to your email – enter this code to access Canopy.

Use the below guidance to log activities on Canopy. Activities can include virtual work experience, trips & visits, sports and social clubs and volunteering etc.
Canopy - Student Quick Guide (how to log a placement)
Before starting the process ensure you have the following:
5 minutes to log the placement as information cannot be saved and completed at a later date.
College email address & student ID number
The company's full address and the email of the person you spoke with about the placement
1 - Log in - Canopy can be accessed via the student intranet (look for the Canopy logo) https://wfcg.my.site.com/edu/s/
2 - Click on ‘submit an engagement’ and select ‘placement’
3 - Complete each page with the required information and click next - all fields with a red asterisk are mandatory.
4 - If the employer is known to the college and active on the database you will be shown an interactive map with matching employers (please enter postcode when searching for an employer) - select the correct employer. If the employer is not known to the college, you will need to add the company information.
5 - When requested to enter parent/carer information please use the same contact registered on the college ILP.
6 - Once the placement is submitted the college will contact the employer regarding the pre placement checks. Students should not attend a placement without college/Canopy approval.

2 - Click on ‘log student activity’
3- Add activity name e.g. Careers Fair – London
4 – Add all information requested in the activity form, you must complete the red * sections
5 – Upload any related files – this is not mandatory
6 – Click submit
The skills assessement will help identify the skills you need to develop as part of your work placement and other personal skills. You should revisit the skills assessments over college life to update and track your development.
