There are lots of different ways to use pictures in your revision. This is just one method.
Some students find that linking information to an image can help them to recall facts during an exam.
In the example below, a History student has drawn a simple sketch of a house, and attached a battle from the Wars of the Roses to each feature. During the exam, they will visualise the image and recall which battle was linked to each part of the picture. They find it helps them to recall more of the battles.
This method is similar to the 'journey' method of revision, or 'memory palaces.' You can find more information on this and on other similar memory techniques in some of the study skills books in the learning centre. Ask the study skills officer or Learning Centre assistant to show you where to find these.
