Work Placements
All students must complete a work placement as part of their studies. For A Level and mixed program students, specific times during the academic year are designated for placements, which must last at least 5 days and be conducted in person. Students in extended diploma courses have a one-week block placement scheduled in their timetable. Dates for the current academic year are below.
Students record their work placements in the College system, Canopy. Using Canopy, after a placement is logged, the College initiates pre-placement checks with the employer. Following successful checks, the placement is approved. Parental or carer consent is also managed via Canopy, with consent requests sent through email. Students should not start their placement until it has been approved by the College.
