Unit 3 - Revolution
We have begun our unit on the Road to Revolution!
We are focusing on the following competency: Students can explain through writing the impact of economic, political, social and military conflicts on the development of NC and US.
They will apply historical thinking, use primary and secondary resources, and write information text. Students have received direct instruction on the French and Indian War -worked at their table groups to collaboratively complete a Tax ACT and ReACT document. -participated in a primary document jigsaw activity using the following documents
-examined political cartoons
-Revolutionary War digital breakout
the final project will be the creation of a Revolutionary Newspaper from the standpoint of a Federalist. It will inlclude a loyalist letter to the editor, editorial on the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party and an Eye Witness account of a key battle and its affect on the war.
