HELLO COUGAR FAMILY!
My name is NaShonda Cooke and I am excited to start my journey here at Carroll. This is my 20th year teaching. I have taught elementary and middle school students. I have served special education students in all areas and subjects. I am National Board Certified and have received my Master's from UNC at Chapel Hill in 2010. I was lucky enough to be featured on the front page of Time Magazine this September.
My interest are Wonder Woman, panda bears, and chocolate! I am the mother of two beautiful daughters who keep me busy and a sports mom.
My day consists of coteaching with Mrs. Huffman and Mrs. Rohini. I also meet with students during Discovery and electives. I address needs of students through modifications and accommodations. I also serve as co-chair for our Special Education department. In my spare time I volunteer with the volleyball team. I am also the student council teacher advisor.
I look forward to having an amazing year with you! WE ARE CARROLL! TEAM KIDS FIRST!
