Unit 1-
Pre-Colonization -we focused on several state standards and the geographical literacy competency. We meshed these goals with the chronology of our American History and used them to create oral presentations. Students researched the various regions of our country, the Native American Tribes who were inhabitants and the explorers who made their way to the New World. Once students compiled their research they were tasked proving which region of the New World would best suit the upcoming colonists and why they chose that region.
