Unit 2 Colonization-
Students will be investigation how the physical features of the New England, Middle, and Southern colonies impacted the way humans interacted with the environment. How the economic hardships and social conflicts hindered the development of the early colonies. How colonial governing styles and varied religious beliefs influenced the creation of our current systems of government.
Students will be investigating all these areas by
*Using the primary resources listed below in blue- begin to research the various types colonists who are listed below.
*By Researching the REAL people who existed in each one of these scenarios, you will create a snapshot the life of 5 Fictional characters One character for each category.
Students will be digging deeper into the colonies by researching actual colonists that fit these five categories-
They are tasked with writing 5 diary entries one from each point of view of the colonists above. Student will make connections between the colonists and compare and contrast their way of lives to add to their understanding of how Colonial America functioned.
