**Some students are struggling with taking notes and seem very distracted/tired. Please remind your student to stay focused in class to understand concepts and be successful in math this year. YOUR STUDENT HAS HOMEWORK DAILY TO REVIEW THE LESSON AND CHECK UNDERSTANDING. REMIND YOUR STUDENT TO SPEND 10-15 MINUTES EVERY NIGHT TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN MATH THIS YEAR.

We went over general procedures for eighth grade as well as some math-specific procedures (found on Guidelines and Procedures Handout) during Leadership week. Students took a Pre-Unit Diagnostic Assessment; we will start the unit next week with our new Open-Up Resources.
