This year, for the first time as far as any of the current leadership team knows, 6th Rugby joined Rugby District Scouts at Rugby's Remembrance Sunday ceremony. And in a second first, this year we also mustered with Tripontium Explorers. Although part of Rugby District, not 6th Rugby, there's a lot of overlap between 6th and Tripontium with four of our Young Leaders Tripontium Explorers.
It was a super turnout, with super behaviours throughout the ceremony. It's not easy standing to attention as a young person when you're more than a little cold and the public is just a few feet away. Able to fidget and move around when you can't!
Also great to see one of our Explorer \ Young Leaders, Lewis AKA Bagheera, act as Colour bearer for Rugby District Scouts, accompanying the civic party at the memorial gates. And Jonny and Matilda supporting the placing of Rugby District's wreath at on the Memorial Gates.
If you were able to attend, you may also have notice Fruitbat and Willow managing a refreshment's marquee, providing very welcome hot drinks and bacon butties. Fundraising for our Group's international trip.
