Gift Aid

You are probably aware of Gift Aid.

Subscription payments to 6th Rugby are eligible for Gift Aid. So if you sign a Gift Aid declaration (i.e. if you pay enough tax), for every £1 of your subscription payments 6th Rugby can claim an extra 25p. And it costs you nothing.

To simplify the making and tracking of Gift Aid declarations, we send invites out from OSM, You'll receive a standard email from OSM with the title "Gift Aid". See the "Gift Aid Email" image.

Clicking the link in the email will open OSM and take you to the Gift Aid page for your young person which will initially show no declaration made.

Top right, there are two buttons. "Decline Gift Aid" or "Make Declaration".

Click the "Decline Gift Aid" if you don't want to register for Gift Aid.

Click "Make Declaration" to register.

Clicking the "Make Declaration Button" will open a dialogue box with fields to complete. See "Gift Aid Declaration" image.

Once completed and you click continue you'll be taken back to the Gift Aid page and your name and the data you've entered plus the date of declaration will be displayed.

And that's it. Your declaration will stay with your young person as they transfer between Sections, from Beavers to Cubs to Scouts. So it only needs to be completed once.

But you will need to complete a declaration for each young person, so if you've got siblings in 6th Rugby you'll need to make a declaration for each sibling.

Gift Aid makes a big difference to 6th Rugby financially. Gift Aid is one of the reasons we've been able to keep our subs so low.
