It's the time of year when Christmas jumpers, socks, and other dubious items of clothing appear. And when 6th Rugby has their Christmas Party.
We had over 50 in attendance. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, plus Tripontium Explorers and Young Leaders.
And it all started with a pass-the-parcel. Three rings. Beavers in the centre, then Cubs, with Scouts plus Explorers on the outside. Three parcels circulating. Prizes galore.
This year we had IN2CULTURES back, so once pass-the-parcel had finished, the Beavers retired to the Scout Hut for a go at African Drumming.
Meanwhile, the Cubs, Scouts, Explorers got stuck in to a variety of games.
We had the organised chaos of the ladder game and find your shoe. The more mentally challenging 3-6-9.
We also had competition time, as three of our Explorers volunteers to be turned into "snowExplorers"
Of course, no party is complete without food, and a 6th Rugby party means hot dogs, crisps, cakes, and for Christmas. Mincepies.
The party finished with IN2CULTURES leading the Group in African singing and dancing. Great to see engagement across the ages. From some of our Beavers allowed to stay late alongside older siblings to our Young Leaders and Explorers, and even the occasional Leader.
Eventually it was time to head home, but not without a final opportunity to purchase Christmas crafts, all funds jointly split between the Scout Group and URC.
