How to Win Points

Sixes

The Cub Pack is now organised into three Sixes

Each term points can be won in a number of different ways (see below). At the end of term the Six with the most points is awarded a badge (designed by Oliver K), and a small prize.

Any Cub who's attended more than 50% of the term's meeting will be eligible for the prize.

Attendance Points

A Cub will be awarded 3 points for attending a pack meeting, and 1 point for a notified absence.

Points can be deducted for poor behaviour, and additional points can be awarded for good behaviour.

Inspection

At least once a term we'll have an inspection. Cubs are inspected as Sixes, and the inspectors will be looking at uniform including necker and badges plus behaviour during the inspection. I.e. Standing at ease quietly until inspection is complete.

As part of inspection there will also be some questions relating to Scouts, and the Cubs may also be asked to complete a practical challenge.

There'll be 9 points, for the best Six, 6 points for 2nd, 3 for 3rd.

Activity Points

Some activities will be completed as Sixes. The number of points will vary with the complexity \ duration of the activities.

For an Indoor Bear Trek lasting all meeting it will be 18, 12, and 6 points for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. For some activities it will be 9, 6, and 3 points or 3, 2, and 1 point.

We'll make sure that the Cubs know how many points are on offer before we start the activity.

Badge Completion Points

Points will also be awarded for completing badges:

Plus a bonus 3 points if the awarded badge is on the Cub's uniform within two weeks. It'll be up to the Cub to come and show the uniform with newly added badge to Toad.

Badges@Home

During school holidays we'll provide Badges@Home ideas, and any Cub completing a Badges@Home activity will earn 3 points for their Six.
