When your young person is invested in 6th Rugby, whether as a Beaver, Cub, or Scout, they're joining a world wide family of around 50 million Scouts!
How is it all structured?
In the UK, young people are invested into Scout Groups. 6th Rugby Scout Group has a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack, and a Scout Troop. We also have our adult leaders and young leaders. Some Scout Groups will also have a Squirrel Drey for the age group before Beavers. And some Scout Groups might have multiple Colonies, or Packs, etc. Meeting on different nights.
Scout Groups are then part of a District.
6th Rugby is part of Rugby District, and there are 12 Scout Groups in Rugby District. The numbering appears random as Scout Groups start and then sometimes sadly close. So there currently isn't a 1st Rugby, but there is a 29th Rugby!
Rugby District will organise events where Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts from all over Rugby come together.
Districts are then combined into Counties. Rugby, along with another 7 Districts forms Warwickshire County. Events like Get In and Bear Trek are organised by Warwickshire.
Above Counties there are Regions, and then England, and then the UK. At the UK level they'll be leading UK attendance at the World Scout Jamborees.
