Being a green warrior.

We will achieve this by:

• Staying seated until kai time is finished and then using the bin

• Picking up rubbish as we go past it rather than ignoring it

• Noticing people dropping rubbish and saying NICELY "We don't do that at Waitara East" and then picking it up and putting it in the bin

• Noticing when we tear packets open that there is a little bit of plastic we have to put in the bin

• Taking care to keep our rubbish in our bags as we walk out the school gate

• Picking up rubbish on the way to and from school

• Putting clean, one side used paper in the Scrap Paper container for reuse

• Only using the good white paper for schoolwork

• Keeping our lunchboxes free of plastic; then taking our rubbish home to put in the right bin there

• Putting clean paper and cardboard in the recycling bins in class

Success Indicator:

• Our school grounds and town roads around school will be free of rubbish

• Our recycle bin will be used in class rather than the rubbish bin

• We will bring food from home that is plastic free
