Early Assessment Program (EAP)/CAASPP

WHAT IS THE EAP/CAASPP?

In spring of your junior year, you participated in the California Assessment of Student Performance and progress (CAASPP) assessments in English language arts//literacy and mathematics. The CSU will use the CAASPP results to determine your EAP status.

By completing the EAP items on the English and Mathematics California Standards Tests, you will be able to do the following:

  • Skip the required CSU English and/or mathematics placement tests

  • Identify the need for additional preparation to succeed at the CSU while still enrolled in high school

  • Adjust your senior-year coursework to prepare for the CSU

  • Avoid spending time and money in college remediation courses that do not count toward a bachelor's degree
