WPI is the perfect place for who are academically driven and also want to be very involved on campus! Through WPI, I am able to join clubs that help me continue and expand my interests, as well as dig deeper into my major and all that it entails. Since my first year, I have joined the Green Team and made a name for myself as Vice President, gone to a National Conference with the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE), and had the opportunity to become a mentor in Crimson Key. I've also had time for fun events like taking a ballroom dancing class, sledding down the hill during the winters, and having dance breaks in the middle of study sessions! This past summer, I had an internship at Woodard & Curran, an environmental consulting firm, in their Water Infrastructure group. The summer before that, I conducted research at Northeastern University on rechargeable, zinc - manganese dioxide batteries. Please come talk to me if you are interested in chemical engineering, sustainability, or Thai food ramen :)
In Green Team, we have a bunch of fun events like visiting Wheelabrator, a waste-to-energy facility in Worcester!
I was able to go to the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) National Conference last year in Georgia!
Here is a picture of me opening my first and only sewer manhole during my internship this past summer!
I also attend cultural events on campus with my friends, like this Garba event that the South Asian Student Association (SASA) put on!
The summer after my first year, I conducted research at Northeastern University on Zn-MnO₂ batteries.
