- Spike Traits cannot be used to mimic horns, scales, back traits, or other similar traits.
- Spikes can be different shapes, sizes, and patterns; They do not have to be default triangle shapes, and can be asymmetrical.
- Can be blunt or sharp.
- Spikes can be covered in skin or keratin and can display any color. They can optionally be affected by mutations such as Discolored Bones.
Spikes appear anywhere on the face.
If spikes are present on the nose, it may optionally replace the default nose pad with slit like nostrils.
Cannot be on top of the crest.
Can appear on the snout in front of the eyes UNLESS a crest trait is already present in that area (i.e. Bulge crest, Balloon crest, etc.)
Spikes protrude from anywhere on the legs.
These spikes can appear anywhere between the toes to the start of the shoulders/hips.
Spikes that can appear on the neck.
Can appear anywhere between the back of the head and the start of the chest.
Spikes that can appear on the torso, flank, and stomach.
Ranges from the chest/shoulders to the rump.
Can be in just one area or multiple.
Spikes that can appear on the limbs, fingers, and/or membrane of the wings
Can appear as long as physical wings are present (i.e. can’t appear on absent/ethereal wings)
Spikes that can appear on the top, sides, and underside of the tail.
Cannot be used to mimic prehistoric tail.
